Develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to prepare you for parenthood, with antenatal classes from Blooming Babies. Informative, engaging and fun, they’re designed to provide you with all the information and support you need to plan for the later stages of pregnancy, birth and life with a newborn baby.
In addition to learning some essential skills, Blooming Babies antenatal classes are a fantastic opportunity to share experiences and build lasting friendships with other parents in your area.
All Antenatal classes are run by Annie Robinson, a practising midwife with decades of experience – so you can be sure that you’re getting a top quality course, and accurate, up to date information.
We offer a regular schedule of four-week antenatal courses for mum's throughout the year, at Nuffield Health in Harrogate and Guiseley.
In addition, we offer couples weekend courses (2 x 3 hours) which cover the same topics. Our upcoming courses are listed below:

Recommended to book early to start classes around 28-32 weeks pregnant. New or experienced mums are all welcome.
Advanced booking and payment required - £100 per block of 4 x 2 hour classes, or £25 for individual classes.
Couples weekend course 2 x 3 hours - cost £120.
We can also provide ONE2ONE antenatal and postnatal classes, held in the comfort of your own home - cost on application.
What you’ll learn
Blooming Babies antenatal courses cover a range of topics related to pregnancy, labour, childbirth and caring for your baby. Over the four-week mum's course and weekend couple course, you’ll cover:
• What happens during labour & birth
• How to cope with labour
• What kinds of pain relief are available during labour
• Feeding by bottle
• Caring for your baby
• Bathing your baby
• Live breast feeding and bathing demonstrations (four week mum's course only)
You’ll also get chance to ask plenty of questions, and to share information with other parents in a friendly, welcoming environment.
